Research Assistant (August 2016 – July 2018)

Karthik Bhat worked in the Small Data Lab at UNU Institute in Macau. His research interests include HCI, Crowdsourcing and ICT’s for Healthcare. Coming from a background in Computer Science, Karthik aims to develop sustainable and scalable ICT’s to tackle different social problems. Karthik sought to empower civil society organizations through local social media data. He was working on Aggie: a social media aggregation platform which can be deployed to perform election monitoring and hate speech monitoring worldwide.

Karthik holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, in India.
